FORT MYERS, Fla., Dec. 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Chico's FAS, Inc. (NYSE: CHS) today reported that its sales results for the four-week period ended December 1, 2007, increased 5.4% to $133.6 million from $126.8 million reported for the four-week period ended November 25, 2006. Comparable store sales for the Company-owned stores decreased 13.7% for the four-week period ended December 1, 2007 compared to the same four-week period last year ending December 2, 2006.

For the forty-three weeks ended December 1, 2007, total sales increased 8.7% to $1.44 billion from $1.32 billion reported for the forty-three week period ended November 25, 2006. Comparable store sales for the Company-owned stores decreased 6.3% for the forty-three week period ended December 1, 2007 compared to the forty-three week period last year ending December 2, 2006.
